The Fiestas of Sant Jaume

July 25th is Sant Jaume, the Patron Saint of Alcúdia, which is celebrated in style. Festivities start a week before with many live concerts, open-air dances, plays, exhibitions, bullfights and, obviously, religious celebrations. The Triennal del Sant Crist takes place every third year, which is a mass and a deep-rooted procession. This procession dates back to1507. Celebrated on the first weekend of October, the fira runs for three days with concerts, gastronomy, local arts & crafts, agricultural products, equestrian shows and, most importantly, the S’Estol del Rei en Jaume parade.
