The celebration of the festival of Sant Antoni Abat, patron saint of animals. On the 16th of January the "Dimonis" (Devils) leave the Town Hall and prowl the streets of Alcudia, "foguerons" (bonfires) are lit in the evening and food cooked outdoors to the sound of traditional songs. On the morning of the 17th animals are taken to church to be blessed.
This marks the arrival of the Magi in Puerto de Alcúdia with a vibrant procession through the centre of town, and reenactment of the worship at Bethlehem.
