Alcúdia is one of Mallorca's most privileged areas in terms of natural enviroment, an ideal place for hikers, sports and ornithological tourism.

Alcúdia is located between two important wetlands: S'Albufera in the Bay of Alcúdia and s'Albufereta in the Bay of Pollença. In addition, in the municipality there are different protected areas due to its natural interest: Sa Talaia d'Alcúdia, Punta de Manresa, Puig de San Martí, Son Fe ...

Wetlands, dense forests, vast agricultural areas and of course its long coastline provide the municipality a unique diversity of ecosystems and species of fauna and flora that are specially protected.
